About Us

The Perfect Pad is an independant company dedicated to finding beautiful, interesting designer goods for the home. Unlike some of our competitors we are able to act quickly when we see an exciting new product which means that you'll quite often see products on our website well in advance of the high street shops. We go to great lengths to find some of the most interesting designer products available and are constantly updating our product range.

Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping And Handling
We are currently offering free delivery within the UK.

You will usually recieve your goods within 1-5 working days of placing your order however we will notify you if we expect your order to take longer than this.

IN A HURRY?

If you need your order very urgently, again, let us know and we will do everything we can to help.

We usually use Royal Mail Recorded Delivery for our deliveries. If no one is available to sign for the goods a notification should be left by the delivery service and you will be able to collect your goods from your local post office or courier depot. Goods will only be held for one week before being returned to us, so it is very important that you arrange to collect and sign for your goods.

In the event that goods are sent back to us and you still want them, we will send out the item again but we will charge an additional postage fee to cover the additional shipping costs. If you decide you do not want your order anymore we will usually refund the cost of goods, but not postage costs if applicable.


IF YOU ARE BUYING FROM OUTSIDE THE UK

We will contact you with postage quotes after you have placed your order, or, if you prefer, you are welcome to contact us before you place an order for a postage quote. We will not collect payment until the postage charge has been agreed with you.

ANYTHING ELSE?

Please do not request for parcels to be 'left in the porch' or similar as if your parcel was to go missing, it would be your responsibility. If its easier for you, feel free to enter a neighbours address or your business address in the delivery field.
Delivery Schedule

Our aim is for your order to be with you within 3 business days. If you wish your order to be delivered on a specific date, please let us know and we will do all we can to meet your requirements. International orders are generally received in under 10 days.
Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. You will not be charged until your item is ready to ship.
Tax Charges

VAT at the current rate is included in all our goods and services.
Credit Card Security
The Perfect Pad uses "the most sophisticated available" online payment system, provided by Secure Trading.

When you start your checkout process, you will enter your name and contact details onto our own secure page (you can tell its secure as a padlock will appear on the right of the address bar on your browser). When you have entered your contact and delivery details and ticked that you accept our terms and conditions, click next and that will take you to another secure page on our website that will ask you how you wish to pay. Select "Secure Card Payment", then click next and you will be forwarded onto the securetrading website which is where you will enter your card details. The URL of this page begins with https:// - this means that the page is hosted on a secure server and all transactions taking place are encrypted, so your card details are protected.

You must ensure that the card you are using is registered to your invoice address, or the payment is likely to be rejected.

SecureTrading's online payment system is the most sophisticated available. All financial transactions are processed securely behind protected firewalls, allowing us to safely process your card payment with the bank. Financial details are never left unencrypted on any part of their system, and are never sent by Internet email.

Returns Policy We are confident that you won't be disappointed in any of our products. However we do appreciate that seeing an image on a computer screen isn't quite the same as seeing/holding an item in a shop.

If you wish to return a product please read the returns policy (below) carefully, then contact us for a returns authorisation code and further instructions.

RETURNS POLICY

If you change your mind about something you have purchased, you may return the item(s) to us within 14 days of purchase. Returned goods must be unopened and in MINT/RESALEABLE condition to be eligible for a refund.

We are not responsible for the return postage of the goods unless faulty. If you wish, we can arrange for unwanted items to be collected at our courier rate (we will advise you of this) and this will be deducted from your refund.

We will ONLY refund the credit/debit card used. No cheques will be issued at all unless the customers initial payment was by cheque.

No refunds will be made until the goods have been returned to us and we are happy that the above criteria have been met.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
